Name: Alessandro Nicola Parente

Alessandro is studying Mechanical Engineering Technology at Dawson College and is a Third Year
Student. Alessandro is participating in the CRC for his first year. Alessandro worked on design of
robot and website in the Dawson robotics team because he enjoys the creativity of website and
designing/manufacturing bodies. Alessandro’s favorite color is Navy Blue. Alessandro is also
interested in sports because he likes to be physical, active and on the move. He also likes motor
sports because of the competitiveness.

Name: Ailish Troughton

Ailish Troughton is studying Mechanical Engineering and Technology at Dawson College, and is a
second-year student in the program. Ailish did her first year studying Liberal Arts, but through robotics,
has fallen in love with The Mech Tech program. Ailish has been participating in the CRC for 5 years now,
having started with Laval Senior Academy’s team, and is the team captain of Dawson Robotics for her second
year in a row. Ailish is on the Dawson robotics team because she enjoys the thrill of watching her team grow successful
with each succeeding year. Ailish aspires to work as a metallurgist in the future, and takes a particular interest in the science,
and quite frankly the art, of welding. She feels grateful for all that Robotics has given her, and all the experiences she has been
able to live due to such an amazing organization!

Name: Luca Benoit

Luca is studying Electronics Engineering at Dawson College and is a second-year student. Luca has
been participating in the CRC for one year. Luca worked on electronics and wiring in the Dawson
robotics team because he enjoys electronics. Luca’s favorite color is green.Luca is also interested
in computers because he likes electronics.Luca aspires to do be a telecommunications technician
in the future.

Name: Jamie Savelson

Jamie Savelson is studying mechanical engineering technology at Dawson College and
is a third year student. Jamie has been participating in the CRC for 8 years. Jamie
worked on robot design and construction in the Dawson robotics team because he
enjoys the new challenge presented each year. Jamie’s favorite color is purple. Jamie
aspires to do engineering in the future.

Name: Ravi Hargassner

Ravi Hargassner is studying Pure and Applied Sciences at Dawson College and is a First year student.
Ravi has been participating in the CRC for 3 years. Ravi worked on the robot and the tutorial in the
Dawson robotics team because he enjoys robotics and public speaking. Ravi’s favorite color is turquoise.
Ravi is also interested in sports because he’s an incredibly competitive person and enjoys nothing more than winning.

Name: Samir Baig

Samir Baig is studying Pure and Applied Science at Dawson College and is a first-year
student at the college. This is his fourth year participating in the CRC competition. He
was initially a part of the Centennial Regional High School team and is now on the
Dawson team. Samir worked on the robot and on the video in the Dawson robotics team
because he enjoys engineering and the sciences along with the creative arts.
In the future, Samir hopes to work in the film industry and to work as a writer/director.

Name: Johnathan Harper

Johnathan, who goes by Johnny, is a first year Dawson Honours Science student. This is his sixth
year participating and is so excited to be a part of a fresh team. He first experienced the CRC
with his previous team at West Island College. He is experienced in a bit of everything and
loves the multidisciplinary aspect of the competition and is happy to help in every and all aspects of this competition.

Name: Joseph Lubembele

Joseph is a first Mechanical Engineering student at Dawson College. This is his first year participating
in the robotics competition and is eager to be of any help to the team. He is a late bloomer and joined
a month and a half before the competition, but he is happy that he found this extracurricular when he did!

Name: Shoukry Socrates Aboulehaf

Shoukry is a mechanical engineering and technology teacher and this years mentor once again. His
passion for the team and the competition is one of many factors that helps propel this team forward.
